WVTF / Radio IQ is looking for someone who has a passion for public radio and a strong desire to help their community stay connected and informed through quality news and in depth issue-oriented shows, along with arts and culture programming.
We are in search of a new Corporate Support Manager. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and relationship builder with a passion for mission-driven storytelling, a strategic approach to sales, and a deep understanding of how the arts and media connect communities and create lasting impact.
This position is responsible for maximizing the stations' corporate support revenue by defining and implementing systems and overall market strategy, along with their own direct sales and overall support and management of the underwriting team.
Specific duties include:
Manage department to meet or exceed monthly targets for revenue; Update and implement sales management systems consistently; Set and follow procedures for setting individual sales reps and station budget goals; develop and employ a digital strategy for multi-platform recognition for underwriters; help the Corporate Support team find and nurture new revenue streams all while consistently and strictly adhering to all station and official regulations and standards for non-commercial support recognition.
Required qualifications:
- Master's degree or Bachelor's degree with practical experience
- Experience in media and or broadcast sales
- Working knowledge of target market areas including decision makers, events and ke accounts
- Demonstrated experience of excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Preferred qualifications:
- Familiarity with public broadcasting underwriting support
- Demonstrated experience with public broadcasting
- Demonstrated media sales management experience
