WSET ABC 13 is looking for a dynamic full-time News Anchor. ABC 13 is the station that holds government leaders accountable and offers a voice for the voiceless. In addition to being an outstanding journalist with a great personality, you need to be a team leader. Our anchors are leaders who participate in the planning of our newscasts, produce investigative stories, and help train our MMJs and Producers. A competitive passion to win and openness to innovation is mandatory! Our winning candidate will be someone who embraces social media and knows how to consistently engage with the audience. Requirements and Qualifications:
- This position co-anchors Good Morning Virginia Monday through Friday and co-produces and anchors our noon newscast.
- You must have at least 3 years of on-air anchoring and producing experience.
- Strong personality.
- Willingness to produce occasional investigative stories.
- Exceptional written communication skills using a conversational writing style
- Strong editorial judgment and a proven ethical foundation
- Public appearances
