Social and Multi-Media Content Developer/Producer

The Social and Multi-Media Content Developer/Producer will develop and implement daily marketing and promotional efforts through Radio, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and other platforms. The multi-media content strategy will help to cultivate leads through campaign promotions while increasing brand awareness for Wheeler stations.  This position will also assist with SEO strategy.  This position will monitor and respond to listener engagement, encouraging online advocacy and expansion of digital outreach efforts.  They will work collaboratively with the Digital/Programming/Promotions departments to oversee implementation of all social strategies.  This position will require some presence at live events, listener interaction, and the posting of multi-media photos and videos in real-time to relevant social accounts.  This position will also work to develop new revenue streams from online and social interactions.  Finally, they will report to stakeholders on the ROI of social and digital efforts.

Essential Job Duties include but are not limited to:

Content Creator

·        Perform initial, in-depth brand discovery to determine ideal demographics for each social media platform (by radio station)

·        Work with morning drive shows on content creation and distribution of audio and video

·        Repurpose content created by stations/talent to other platforms to generate new sources of revenue

·        Manage editorial content calendar, leading creative development process from ideation to execution for each digital promo campaign

·        Excellent written and verbal skills for social posts and listener engagement.

o   Write and edit content that speaks specifically to the users of each platform and demographic of each station

·        Ensure consistent brand messaging for each radio station and personality

·        Collaborate with on-air personalities to help them brand and grow their online presence

·        Utilize artist visits and create compelling content to develop unique, shareable social media posts

·        Get to know and achieve a working knowledge of each stations’ brand

·        Attend live events, engage with listeners on-site and on-line.

·        Available on some weekends, nights and after hours, dependent on station/client need

·        Take photos, get audio recordings, and shoot and edit videos of station content, personalities, events and promotions

·        Help create social media influencer campaigns for station monetization

Community Engagement

·        This position is an extension of the stations promotions team, monitoring the social presence of each station to ensure timely and appropriate responses to listener queries.

·        Oversee social workflow, defining and prioritizing requests and content.

·        Promote collaboration both internally and externally

·        Demonstrate flexibility and proficiency for creative problem solving

·        Foster increased engagement with ALL digital platforms

·        Convert people into brand ambassadors and long term fans

Data Analyst

·        Do a deep dive into engagement trends across all social sites to measure effective posts,
campaigns and content.

·        Stay up-to-date on social media trends and best practices

·        Monitor competitor’s campaigns and social strategies

·        Discover and develop new strategies and draw insight from historical data

·        Report on campaign success to key stakeholders (likes, shares, reach, leads, sales, etc.)

·        Identify opportunities for each social media platform, provide recommendations

Additional Skills:

·        Bachelor’s Degree preferred and prior experience with Social Media.

·        Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Adobe Photoshop, Audition, and Premiere.

o   Graphic design

o   Video and audio editing

·        Experience working with iPhone & Android mobile devices, photography, photo and video editing.

·        Photography skills and the ability to operate DSLR camera equipment

·        Experience working with WordPress and other online publishing platforms

·        Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

·        Superior organization skills; extremely detail-oriented

·        Radio, and marketing experience is a plus

·        Available on some weekends, nights, and after hours, dependent on station/client need

·        Adaptable & resourceful

·        Ability to set up equipment for video shoots, and pick up 35 lbs

·        Valid Driver’s License

·        Calm in a crisis

·        Creative!!!!
