WVTF/Radio IQ is hiring a reporter for its Roanoke newsroom. This is a new position for our award-winning news operation.
The right candidate will be an intrepid and proficient journalist with a positive attitude and impressive work ethic. A skilled writer, you have experience creating both in-depth reporting as well as shorter, daily stories. Public radio experience is a plus, but we will train the right candidate.
The successful candidate will create and deliver radio and digital news stories from the Roanoke Valley that also resonate with our broad, regional audience across Virginia.
WVTF is the public radio service covering Southwest and Central Virginia. Based in Roanoke, our over-the-air signals reach about two-thirds of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
